An llms.txt file is a plain-text file at a website's root that gives AI systems a structured summary of the site and its key pages.
Similar in spirit to a robots.txt file, an llms.txt file lists a site's services, pages, and content in a format an AI system can read quickly without crawling the whole site. It does not guarantee citation, but it removes friction for a system trying to understand what a business actually does.
