An approval gate is the point where a system holds its output for a person to review before it reaches a customer or the public.
Also called human in the loop, this is the step where a drafted post, message, or reply sits pending until someone with the authority to approve it changes its status. It exists because a system can draft reliably, but whether a specific output is right for a specific situation is still worth a person's judgment.
